Mbembe’s point about building on what Africa already owns is spot on. We have so much natural and cultural wealth that’s often overlooked.
Reconciling intimate knowledge with values sounds nice, but how do we actually implement that when foreign aid and debt still dictate our policies?
Finally someone saying we need to leverage our own resources instead of begging for handouts. The land, the people, the ideas are already here.
