  1. So Germany, France, Belgium, Ireland, and the Netherlands are all sending planes for their citizens, but what about the crew? They’re mostly from developing countries—who’s evacuating them?

  2. Three dead from hantavirus on the MV Hondius, and the WHO chief himself shows up in Spain. At least they’re taking this seriously after the COVID fiasco.

  3. Tedros says the risk to the Canary Islands remains low, but how do they know? Hantavirus isn’t as contagious as COVID, but it’s still scary that it spread on a ship.

  4. The Dutch couple and German woman who died—were they in the same cabin or sharing meals? I’d want to know if there’s a specific source onboard.

  5. Kudos to the EU for sending two extra planes, but why did it take a deadly outbreak for them to coordinate? This should’ve been a standard protocol after the Diamond Princess.

  6. Antibiotic resistance is the silent pandemic that nobody is taking seriously enough. (56e6a9)
