  1. I can’t believe the Chateau de Chambord is in such bad shape—€37 million for restoration is a huge sum, but you can’t let a UNESCO site like that fall apart.

  2. The Francois I Wing restoration is a start, but with all those cracks and moisture issues, I wonder how long the whole castle can hold up without massive investment.

  3. It’s heartbreaking to see such an iconic piece of French history crumbling. The central staircase by Leonardo da Vinci must be at risk too—hope the government steps up funding.
