So the UK sends a destroyer back to the Gulf, but Trump’s still waiting for Iran’s answer to his peace plan? Feels like we’re just kicking the can down the road while the Strait of Hormuz stays a tinderbox.
Interesting that the US keeps pushing this ‘peace plan’ while simultaneously keeping up hostilities in the Strait. Hard to see how that builds trust on Tehran’s end.
If the ceasefire is already ‘shaky’ because of clashes in the Strait, sending a British warship seems more like escalation than diplomacy. I hope cooler heads prevail.
